Research Area

Our research aims to the better understanding on both thermodynamics and kinetics of multi-dimensional materials through multiscale theoretical modeling and calculations. We are dedicating great efforts on the theory of materials growth and etching and will also be involved in many experimental activities of nanomaterials synthesis.

Research Keywords

Multi-dimensional carbon materials, 2D materials, Materials’ growth mechanism, Multiscale modeling,

Research Interests

-Methods and algorithms development for better understanding of materials in multiscale
-Theoretical exploration on the formation mechanism of various carbon materials
-Formation mechanism, defects, stability and properties of various materials
-Kinetics of materials etching versus growth
-The experimental synthesis and characterization of carbon nanotubes and various nanomaterials
